  3. Interactions between characters can happen during designated discussion rounds.

  4. The game ends when the players successfully solve the murder mystery or when all players agree to give up.

Plot: The players gather in the main hall of the Haunted Manor as thunder roars outside and rain pours relentlessly. Mr. Vincent Crowe explains that they must solve the murder of Miss Scarlett Winters' brother, Mr. Alexander Winters, whose death has haunted the manor for years.

Round 1: The Clue Unveiled Players split into teams of two to search the manor. Each team stumbles upon a peculiar riddle hidden in a secret chamber. The riddle points to a particular room in the house where another clue awaits.

Word Puzzle 1: "I have keys but open no locks. I have space, but no room. You can enter, but you can't go outside. What am I?"

Once the teams solve the puzzle, they find a torn letter that hints at a potential motive and names a few suspects.

Round 2: Conversations and Discoveries During a discussion round, characters share their findings and discuss possible motives and suspects. The medium, Madame Eliza Sinclair, tries to commune with the spirit of the victim for more clues.

Word Puzzle 2: "Lighter than what I am made of, more of me is hidden than is seen. What am I?"

The answer to the puzzle reveals a hidden compartment with an ancient journal that contains encrypted entries.

Round 3: Unraveling the Past As players decode the journal entries, they uncover dark family secrets and cryptic messages related to the murder. The players realize that Alexander had discovered a long-lost artifact that held immense power, and some individuals wanted it for themselves.

Word Puzzle 3: "I speak without a mouth and hear without ears. I have no body but come alive with the wind. What am I?"

The answer leads players to a dusty library where they find an old map that marks the artifact's location.

Round 4: The Final Confrontation As the players gather around the artifact's location, they encounter a hidden chamber where the truth about Alexander's death is revealed. One of the characters is the culprit, and they confess their crime due to greed and ambition.

Word Puzzle 4: "Alive without breath, as cold as death. Never thirsty, ever drinking. All in mail, never clinking. What am I?"

The answer points to the murderer, who had taken on a false identity to avoid suspicion.

Conclusion: With the murderer exposed and the truth revealed, the players must decide what to do with the artifact. The restless spirit of Alexander appears, expressing gratitude for finally finding peace. The players must now choose whether to destroy the artifact or use it for good.

Remember, in the Shadows of the Haunted Manor, the decisions you make will shape the outcome of this chilling murder mystery. Good luck, and may the spirits guide you on your quest for justice!
